JULY 17 – NOVEMBER 13, 2024, EOS R1 PRE-ORDER GIFT PROMOTION TERMS & CONDITIONS (“TERMS AND CONDITIONS”)

1. Pre-Order Promotional Products, Participating Retailers, Promotional Period and Participants

1.1. This promotion is a Canon Canada Inc. (“Canon”) pre-order gift promotion and only available on pre-order purchases made of any of the products listed below in Schedule 1 (the “Promotional Products”) only within Canada from one of our participating retailers as set out in Schedule 2 (“Participating Retailers”) between 00:00 Wednesday, July 17, 2024, and 23:59 Wednesday, November 13, 2024, for the EOS R1 - EOS R System Branded Jacket Gift and between 00:00 Wednesday, July 17, 2024 and 23:59 Tuesday, December 17, 2024 for eligible lenses cashback, inclusive (the “Promotional Period”). NOTE: This current EOS R System Branded Jacket Gift and eligible lenses cashback pre-order gift promotion CANNOT be combined nor stacked with any other Canon promotion for Canon lenses that may run concurrently or with overlapping dates. All other products and retailers are excluded. Some Promotional Products may be sold as a camera only or part of a bundle but only ONE (1) claim for EOS R System Branded Jacket and FOUR (4) claims for cashback on eligible RF L-Series lenses can be made per household. All other claims will be rejected by Canon. Purchases must be genuine purchases for cash or its equivalent. Only Promotional Products sold by Participating Retailers in-store or online directly by the Participating Retailers are eligible for this promotion. Some Participating Retailers may operate marketplaces that allow other sellers to sell their products. Products purchased on these marketplaces are not eligible for this promotion. In addition, Promotional Products purchased through an enterprise commercial sales program are ineligible for this promotion. Any attempt to gain participation in this promotion without satisfying the requirements mentioned herein in these terms and conditions shall be deemed invalid as determined by Canon in its sole discretion.

1.2. All Participants must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in Canada (“Participant”).

1.3. Additional conditions: Participants must properly choose the first time the size of the EOS R Branded Jacket available as presented by Canon. No returns or exchanges for other sizes of the jackets are accepted unless Canon shipped the wrong size in error contrary to what the Participant had initially selected on the gift claim form. Participants must first only fill out the Canon pre-order gift claim form once Participants have received their new EOS R1 camera. Only after the EOS R1 camera has been received by Participant and only then can Participants claim their lens cashback from Canon. Participants do have the option to opt-out of the lens Cashback or EOS R System Branded Jacket from Canon. Customer must wait 6-8 weeks to receive their pre-order gift.

1.4. All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.

1.5. All Promotional Products must be new and genuine Canon products. Purchases of second-hand, refurbished, or reconditioned products, or products that are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or “grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion.

2. How to participate

2.1. To enter this pre-order promotion, the Participant must purchase a Promotional Product or Products from a Participating Retailer during the Promotional Period within Canada AND submit a valid claim online between 00:00 Thursday, November 14, 2024, and 23:59 Tuesday, December 31, 2024, for the EOS R1 EOS R System Branded Jacket Gift and for eligible lenses cashback.

2.2. Claims must be submitted by fully and correctly completing (including specifying a valid product serial number that is a readable scan or a clear photograph <in colour> of the original barcode and the serial number of the Promotional Product) a claim form online, at canoncreatorlab.ca/offersfor a Promotional Product purchased within Canada. Participants will need to scan, upload, and attach to the online claim form a copy of their receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases. Participants will then receive an email confirming that their claim has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of processing your claim or do not have access to a computer, please contact our Claim Hotline at 1-800-OK-CANON.

2.3. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last. Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.

2.4. Canon will not process any claims received after the closing date of23:59 Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Canon will not process claims which are in its opinion incomplete or illegible. Canon will not be responsible for claims delayed or not successfully received.

3. EOS R System Branded Jacket and Lens Cashback

3.1. Participants will receive one (1) EOS R System Branded Jacket per household and Cashback as set out in Schedule 1 in the amounts shown for pre-order purchases of Promotional Products.

3.2. For lens cashback upon receipt and verification of the claim, Canon will arrange for a direct eTransfer payment to the Participant’s bank account. No alternative arrangement will be entered into and no cash or cheque will be provided.

3.3. Canon will endeavor to transfer via eTransfer within 6- weeks of receipt of a complete and valid claim. Participants must wait a minimum of 6-8 weeks for receipt of EOS R System Branded Jackets.

3.4. Only one eTransfer payment will be issued per valid claim.

3.5. Canon Canada Inc. only accepts claims with banks that have been underwritten by the Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation. To confirm that your bank is one of them, visit: https://www.cdic.ca/your-coverage/list-of-member-institutions/.

4. The promoter

4.1. The promoter is Canon with its registered office address at 8000 Mississauga Road, Brampton, ON L6Y 5Z7.

5. Disclaimers

5.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.

5.2. In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void, amend, and/or change this promotion at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.

5.3. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5.4. If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5.5. Canon, its associated companies, affiliates, suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies, and any other entity or entities involved in the development, production, administration or fulfillment of this promotion, and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) will not be liable for: (i) any failure of the Canon website or any other site during this promotion; (ii) any malfunctions or other problems of any nature whatsoever, including, without limitation, those relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; (iii) the failure of any Promotional Product registration, opt-in and/or other information to be received, captured or recorded for any reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website; (iv) any injury or damage to a Participant’s or any other person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in this Promotion; and/or (v) any combination of the above.

5.6. By participating in this promotion, each Participant hereby: (i) confirms compliance with these terms; (ii) releases the Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this promotion and his/her participation therein; and (iii) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, statements about the promotion and/or photograph or other likenesses without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of Canon in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet.

5.7. This promotion cannot be combined nor stacked with any other Canon promotion. Combined, overlapping or stacked claims submitted by Participants shall be rejected by Canon.

6. Data

6.1. By participating in this promotion, each Participant expressly consents to Canon, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing, and using any personal and other information submitted only for the purpose of administering the promotion and in accordance with Canon’s privacy policy (available at the link below). This section does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide Canon or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their personal information. Canon is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. Any personal data submitted to Canon will be processed by (a) Canon and its third-party supplier Benamic Ltd, IDA Business and Technology Park, Ring Road, Kilkenny, Ireland, for the purpose of administering this promotion, and, if applicable (b) by Canon and its associated companies for marketing purposes in cases where Participants have opted-in to receive marketing communication from Canon. 6.2. If Participants do not wish for their contact information to be used for marketing purposes or to enable Canon to contact them in the future regarding similar promotions, they should NOT check the relevant “opt-in” box when completing the claim form.

7. Law and jurisdiction

This promotion shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. The forum for any disputes relating to this promotion shall be the Province of Ontario and you agree to attorn to the courts in the Province of Ontario and they agree that all legal proceedings in respect of this promotion shall be commenced and maintained only in the courts of the said province.

Schedule 1 – EOS R System Branded Jacket and Cashback for the Following Promotional Products

Pre-order purchase the EOS R1 Mirrorless Camera (body only) and receive one (1) Free EOS R Branded Jacket (maximum one (1) jacket per household).

Pre-order purchase of any of the following eligible RF L-Series lenses when combined with the pre-order purchase of a new EOS R1 Mirrorless Camera (body only) and receive CAD 500 cashback per lens listed below. Up to a maximum of four (4) lenses per household, with one (1) of each lens eligible for cashback (maximum CAD 2000 per household):
